Climate: In general Denmark's
climate is continental, with cold winter and mild summer, Due to the
influences of the air masses of Atlantic origin.
The winters are not that cold with temperatures in January and
February of around 0°C and the summers are cool with mean
temperature in August of 16°-17°C. There is a lot of wind, which is
stronger during the winter and weaker during the summer.
The Jylland is relatively rainy (810 milimeter annual), while the
rest of the country, has insufficient precipitations, the annual
average barely exceed more than 600 milimeter.
Denmark has an average of 170 rainy days. Rain falls throughout the
year, but the greatest rainfall comes between July and November. The
capital city Copenhagen has mild climate through all the four
seasons. Grey sky is a regular vision at Copenhagen. |
